NEW SONG ‘FALLEN’. i love this one. it’s entirely different from anything you would have heard from me before as the vocal is entirely in Mandarin Chinese.
i heard the original acoustic version of this vocal in a shop one night wandering around Beijing on an Asia tour earlier in the year (pictured here) and immediately knew it would make a perfect trance record if we were able to collaborate on it.
however, tracking down the singer + label turned out to be pretty damn difficult, plus it turned out nobody had a studio acapella of the vocal. six months of google translate and a lot of precision vocal extracting work later, ‘fallen’ is out and I love how it turned out!
