Getting emotional looking back at what’s been more than 10yrs in the making..🥹
Tonight’s the biggest show in my career as HI-LO so far, since I had only accepted ‘mainstage’ type of offers for my main OH project before, but I think people r ready now…🫡
Playing EDC Vegas at Circuit Grounds at a peak time slot b2b with Eli Brown, I just heard we very possibly get a crowd as big or even bigger than a packed Tomorrowland mainstage 🤯
This is a big deal to me and it’s making me reflect on 10 years ago when I was a 19 year old with ‘crazy’ dreams. I remember Tchami asking me at Ultra Miami 2014 what music I would like to do in the future, & I told him “I want to do more Techno, but in my own way”, he then asked “like more Big Room?”, & I didn’t really know how to explain it yet, cause I was working on a wide range of groovy tech-trancy minimal techno-y & proggy stuff, but also more bass heavy/big room/electro-y stuff. It was some hybrid form that took a while for me to develop it the way I wanted it to, especially since I was more focused on my main OH project. So I thought it’d be fun or maybe inspiring for some to show some snippets from 8-10 years ago (swipe➡️). Cause to realize that now in 2024 artists like Eli and myself (as HI-LO) are going to blow the roof of a stage like EDC Circuit Grounds at a peak time slot is just WILD. If you’d been telling this to people in 2013/14, you would be considered crazy/delusional! And ofcourse tonight’s still around the corner, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a special one 😇🙏
