Thirty-years ago things continued to get stranger and more crazier as my @plastikman project took over my life! On August 13, 1994 I debuted the first ever Plastikman live show at our own dirty & wonderful plastic covered (walls & ceilings) illegal warehouse party in Detroit where we transformed the old Packard plant! Named after my well known TR-808 snare driven Spastik track, this event was probably the pinnacle of the warehouse parties we had been doing throughout 1992 & 1993… where the entire sound and gang of Plastikman had been formed and fused together.

The first series of Plastikman Live shows had my brother @matthewhawtin performing with me so that we had enough hands to tweak as many TB303s as possible ACCCCIIIIEEEEEEDDDD ❤️ Slide #4 is actually us performing together a few weeks later in Berlin at @tresorberlin for the (now) legendary Interference Festival.

The dance floor was filled with ravers who had travelled from far & wide, from all over the Midwest and beyond. That night gave many of us inspiration to dive deeper into the world of electronic music culture as it unfolded in front of our eyes & ears.

Exciting & magical times.

Slide #5 is the setup while I practiced in the basement of my parents house in our family room, where I was still living)
